Nokia Planning Major Job Cuts

Nokia, one of the world's leading mobile phone makers, on Thursday revealed its plans of cutting approximately 3,500 jobs in Romania, Germany and the United States, and that too by the end of 2012.

"Nokia plans to close its manufacturing facilities in Cluj, Romania, by the end of 2011 ... and plans to close its (locations and commerce development) operations in Bonn, Germany and Malvern, US, by the end of next year", the Finnish company said in a statement.

Nokia N9 will Remain Invisible in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Nokia’s upcoming phone N9 with the MeeGo-power which was not going to be launched in the US, UK would also not find place in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

It is quite shocking that little N9 which expected to have great sales in Europe and even had great launch and promotion tour would not find its place in the hands of respective country people.
