Spain has already rowed back on its plans and is getting ready for suing German authorities about spreading unclear claims of Spanish vegetables being the source of E. Coli bacteria and cause for epidemic.
It has been seen that while the rate of infection spread has slowed down, three more deaths happened in a day taking the total casualty to 29. The latest death row was seen in Sweden.
Diego Lopez Garrido, Spain’s European minister said to media after having talks in Berlin that Germany has agreed to make improve the situation and this is about the whole Spanish produce in Germany and also at other places in Europe. The incident of announcing the Spanish cucumbers as infected was 'unfortunate' and despite all the efforts taken by Spain another strain of E. Coli has been found on vegetables.
Since the officials statements came, the farmers have been destroying their produce en masse and till now a loss of €200 million a week is being faced by them.
For Spain Germany is important since it, consists of 25 per cent, of all the vegetable exports in Germany and is very important in that respect. Now, it calls for promotion from both the sides to be able to make it a success.
