China-Germany gov't consultation benefit ties

Tuesday is going to see the first joint cabinet meeting between Germany and China. They are expected to hold discussion on issues pertaining to human rights disputed and also high potential trade between the two nations.

Both these countries have had good relations for long but it has been the human rights issues that have been overshadowing the proceedings. Besides Chancellor Angela Merkel and Premier Wen Jiabao there are going to be
23 other ministers who are going to sign in for 22 state cooperation pacts. The business delegation, as it has been put forward, is going to go for agreement worth several billions of dollars.

China is the number two economy of the world and Germany is at the fourth position. They have had good season when it came to trade in recent years and it has touched a record level of 130 billion euros ($184 billion).

But while a lot is said to have been decided, both the nations have agreed that they would be putting a veil when it came to press release as not much of disclosure has come from either sides.

Wen has already met with British PM, David Cameron and has signed trade deals worth 1.6 billion.
